Sean Knowlton: Florida; A composite material signifies that two or more materials are combined on a macroscopic scale to form a useful third material. The combination of wood, fiberglass and resin creates what I call functional art work. After building and riding my first hollow wood board, it gave me renewed energy and passion for the sport of surfing. I am not sure how to describe the feeling other than solid and responsive.
